My Christmas Wishlist

Christmas is right around the corner and I get asked the same question by my family every year...

What do you want for Christmas?

Seems, even though I know every year this question is coming like clockwork, I can never really answer with full thought. But this year I am prepared -

Here are a few things I am hoping for this year.

Northface Carmel Puff Jacket in Black

Some other things on my list:

Kentucky Derby 2012: Look #1

The 2012 Derby isn't until May 4th (138th Running of the Oaks) & 5th (138th Running of the Kentucky Derby) but I found this really great dress and before I knew it had a whole outfit together! I think as the days go by I might come up with several fun "ideas" we'll just have to see which one I pick!

I love black and white. I think the colors are classic and stand the test of time. The icing is that beautiful punch of yellow in the sash of the dress, the flower on the hat, and the jewelry.

Jessica Simpson: Paragi in Black

Tiffany & Co: Tiffany Sparklers Citrine Earrings and Cocktail Ring in Sterling Silver

I Dream of a Party...

Where friends gather on homemade quilts to watch movies.

Where the table feels as if it is a sea of familiar faces.

Where my girlfriends can enjoy intimate conversation and a chicken salad sandwich.

Where 4th of July cookouts can be held...

And guests remember the night with an American classic to take home.

Where yummy sparklie fruity drinks can be served.

Where elegant spring picnics can take place.

Where you can yell "DINNERS READY! COM'N GET IT!" over the sounds of laughter.

Where the drinks come from ice filled monogrammed tubs.

I can't wait for T to get home from this deployment! Once spring hits we should have a new pool and deck in our backyard. Then I can work on growing the grass and starting my own garden just for these type of get-togethers. I so enjoy entertaining.

What a lovely daydream-

A Little Vineyard Vines Love

Thought I would share a few of my favorite finds on Vineyard Vines...

Fun fact: Green Hills (Nashville) has a Vineyard Vines store located next to some of my other favorite stores like Anthropologie. Guess who will be visiting that store in the near future... ;) A couple of new outfits for the office can't hurt.

Isn't it all just darlin' y'all ?!?!
I definitely plan on adding a few Vineyard pieces to my closet :)

Birthday Gifts

My Birthday is not until next month but my family seems to know what they are getting me as gifts. This is not in their character, by the way, but I think with T gone on a year long deployment they are sharing so no mistakes are made (like Christmas of 2009 where I ended up with two copies of the Gone with the Wind Anniversary Edition and three copies of one of my favorite 80's movies).

So here is what I know...

2. Another gift is money from my mother (now I just need to know how to spend it)

3. T's second gift (third total) is these Michael Kors Juniper Espadrilles in Gold

4. My fourth and final present is from my Mom. She gave me my adopted Grandfather Jackson's 1940's/50's family waffle recipe. With this prized recipe comes a new waffle maker!

Y'all I am one lucky girl! :)
