J Crew Favorites

J Crew has always been one of my favorite stores, even before the current Presidents wife started wearing the brand. After writing my post about Chambray I decided to purchase my own button up which led me to make a wish list. One word, Dangerous! J Crew is kind of like Target to me, you walk in needing one thing and walk out with things you didn't even need, this is just a few of my favorites list for the 2011 holiday season -

I love this whole outfit, the Cowl sweater, white classic button up, and khaki chinos. So simple, so clean, so classic.

I really loved this sweater below not only for the pretty color but for the beautiful buttons on the shoulders.

I really love J Crews cardigans. Not only do they hold their shape well but now you can purchase monogramming. Y'all know how I feel about that!

Of Course no list is complete without a little Chambray in it - I'll be rocking mine with a pair of dress pants tomorrow at the office.

Tee's have their special place in my closet but these scoop ones are just divine!

J'adore Pixie Pants (below), the skinny dress pants of J Crew that fit like leggings

I love blazers and especially blazers in tweed. For those Southern Belles and/or Bama fans they also offer a blazer in Houndstooth-

This blue classic button up is perfect and timeless with a pair of gray slacks.

A classic turtleneck in a neutral color. I could just see this with a great pair of flats and some beautiful gold jewelry.

Ode to Chambray

My new love this season is anything in Chambray. I think I have re-pinned just about every photo I've come across on Pinterest leading me to believe that I should probably purchase my own button up shirt.

Here are a few of my fav ways to wear it!

With a POP of color

Looks great with some Killer Riding boots

Not your traditional button up. Chambray is showing up in Henley form too!

As a cover-up with a Maxi dress

Under a classic cardigan

With dark jeans or in this case wide leg dress pants can't go wrong

Don't Blink!

Did y'all see it yesterday?

and
teamed up to offer some deep discounts to Lilly lovers but by the time I logged on only an hour after the sale started just about everything was sold (all that seemed to be left were sunglasses, one pair of cropped pants, and a few cardigans). Lilly has some seriously devoted fans!

Did anyone in blogland score some great Lilly deals on Rue?

What Cute Shoes!

I'm usually not a huge fan of Target shoes but this years fall line is super cute! Here are a few of the fun shoes in the new 2011 collection.

Mossimo Supply Co. Karie Flat Zip Boots - Brown ($34.99)

Mossimo Palomita Glitter Flat in Gold and Black ($17.99 each)

Mossimo Supply Co Wanda Wedges - Brown ($24.99)

Merona Melita Heeled Boots in Brown and Black ($39.99 each)

I'm a Charlotte

Today I ended up catching re-runs of old Sex and the City on E! and by the second episode I was drooling over Charlotte Yorks wardrobe.

She is timeless, classic, elegance.

Beautiful coats and hats

Sophisticated style

I so love Charlotte's love for everything British (and her love for Burberry-I share the same affliction)

Beautiful taste in bright colors that match her sunny, optimistic disposition

I love how, as her life changes, the show did not downplay the chance for her to be just as classic making the job of Mother, Wife, and Homemaker extra chic.

Classic Pearls

Pretty in Pink and Cream

As Charlotte's character passed through the years from single young NYC girl (below) to becoming a McDougal (above), to finding true happiness marrying her attorney and building her family, Charlotte's clothing has always been an amazing representation of Prep.

And honestly, a closet I would love to raid.

You, Charlotte York, are my fashion Soul Sister!

Local Finds at M&M

Before I left this weekend to my hometown I logged into Facebook and saw some pictures from Mildred & Mable's showing new items in their store from market. One of them happened to be this super cute navy blue strapless dress.

I.HAD.TO.HAVE.IT.

So I called the store and had sweet Em hold it for me.

Once I entered the store Em walked my direction and handed me not only this cute dress I saw on Facebook but another suggestion.

(( Wouldn't this dress be cute with a jean jacket in the fall?))

The one on the far left would not have been a choice of mine but Em insisted I try it on because I would love it. She was right.

Not only do I love it but with a cute cardigan (hello fall Lilly) this dress would fit very nicely at the Law Firm I'll be interning at.

So I walked away with two dresses and paid $59 and some change with tax. The stripe dress is a steal at $22 and the cute office dress is $32.

I am so excited about my new finds! Now I just have to keep my eyes out for some matching shoes!

One Lucky Girl

Dylan Lauren is the daughter to 71 year old fashion designer (and polo founding father) Ralph Lauren.

Recently she was photographed, appearing in the upcoming August Vogue, wearing her wedding dress for her upcoming nuptials.

Her father designed her stunning dress.

All I can say is - What a beautiful dress and a lucky bride!

What a Steal!

This past weekend I went home to celebrate my birthday with family. Saturday I was able to do some school shopping for C, go out to eat at Macaroni Grill, and pick up a few fun things for myself. Sunday we spent the day shopping at a massive Greatland Target, eating at Cracker Barrel (where I enjoyed a yummy chicken salad sandwich), playing Wii, and swimming at my mothers pool.

I found some really great deals on things like Abercrombie Kids clothes, GAP clothes, some Tommy Hilfiger sheets for my bedroom (perfect for monogramming), couple of new paperback books at Marshalls, but my BEST DEAL yet was for me. I found both of these Sperry's for $26.99 EACH at my favorite shoe store in my hometown. Brand new, this season Sperry's which made my brother pea green with envy when I walked away paying less than $60 total!
I've already worn the ones above twice and I adore them! So much so that I want to shop around for more polo's (that I can monogram) to match my khaki shorts and new Topsiders!

Kentucky Derby 2012: Look #1

The 2012 Derby isn't until May 4th (138th Running of the Oaks) & 5th (138th Running of the Kentucky Derby) but I found this really great dress and before I knew it had a whole outfit together! I think as the days go by I might come up with several fun "ideas" we'll just have to see which one I pick!

I love black and white. I think the colors are classic and stand the test of time. The icing is that beautiful punch of yellow in the sash of the dress, the flower on the hat, and the jewelry.

A Little Vineyard Vines Love

Thought I would share a few of my favorite finds on Vineyard Vines...

Fun fact: Green Hills (Nashville) has a Vineyard Vines store located next to some of my other favorite stores like Anthropologie. Guess who will be visiting that store in the near future... ;) A couple of new outfits for the office can't hurt.

Isn't it all just darlin' y'all ?!?!
I definitely plan on adding a few Vineyard pieces to my closet :)
